Our simple 4-step process is an ongoing collaboration with you and your professional
advisors.
Step 1 - Educate
We provide educational seminars, videos, webinars, and written materials for you and your advisors.
Step 2 - Design
Once we know your objectives and charitable intent, we design a charitably leveraged strategy that’s specific to you. We’ll continue to fine-tune it until you think it’s perfect.
Step 3 -Implement
Working with your professional legal, tax, and investment advisors, we’ll process all phases of your plan, from document drafting, to asset transfer, to preparation of IRS required tax forms .
Step 4 -Administration
We provide ongoing trust administration for you and your trustee (who most likely will be you) always coordinating with your tax advisor to be sure your CRT in always in compliance.
How We Work
DESIGN & ADMINISTRATION FEE SCHEDULE
We provide our prospective client with our transparent and fully disclosed fee schedule following our free initial meeting.
Our Sevices Include:
Design Services
- Prepare custom illustrations as needed.
- Hold personal meetings with the Donor, spouse and/or CPA/Attorney and Financial Advisor.
- Follow-up phone calls, meetings, and revisions.
Implementation Services: First year set-up
- Provide the Donor’s attorney with the IRS approved prototype Charitable Remainder Trust agreement for approval and drafting– specific to the type of CRT.
- Provide the Donor’s professional tax advisor with the IRS forms 8283 & 5227 providing the information necessary to take the charitable deduction on the Donor’s Federal Income Tax Return.
- We do not provide legal or tax advice. We work to assist your professional tax and legal advisors.
Yearly Administration:
- Provide the Donor’s professional tax advisor with the Federal Tax Return for the Trustee, including K-1 and 5227.
- Co-ordinate with the Donor’s financial advisor to direct the distribution of income from the CRT.
- Direct the distribution of assets to the selected charities at the CRT termination.
- Miscellaneous record keeping needed to keep the CRT updated and compliant.
- Annual review with the Donor, trustee, the donor’s advisors, and family (as requested).
