It was Benjamin Franklin who first coined the phrase, “do well by doing good.” That is at the heart of what I do—what I teach, speak, and write about. I have spent my 45+ year career in the financial & estate planning world teaching clients and coaching fellow professionals on how to use the Power of Leveraging Charitable Remainder Trusts to provide a means of building, preserving, and transferring wealth while creating a meaningful charitable legacy
with dollars that might otherwise be lost to taxes. I call it Strategic Philanthropy.
This merger of capitalism and philanthropy has allowed my team to build solutions of lasting value for our clients who wish to combine planned charitable giving with family financial security. It is the ultimate act of doing well

The Meaning Behind Our Web Address, APA405.com
The APA part is pretty obvious, since we are American Philanthropic Advisors. We added 405 to honor the 405 first responders who gave their lives saving others on September 11, 2001: 343 firefighters, 23 police officers, 37 Port Authority police officers, and 2 paramedics. We honor their bravery and sacrifice. We will never forget.
In addition, we continue to honor and support the brave men and women who serve in our military, and their spouses and parents who spend restless nights worrying about them. Thank you for your service to our country.
